Each year, we commit to reinvesting 10% of our pre-tax proceeds to organizations in North Minneapolis that have a strong youth-facing component. North Minneapolis is the home of Socorro Consulting, and its founder, Ed Morales, calls the Northside his social work home. As a young social worker, Ed worked at several North Minneapolis schools and South Minneapolis schools that served a large Northside population, and owes much of his development and understanding of The Work to the families and professionals who provided guidance, support, and feedback along the way.
This year, we’re proud to contribute 10% of our proceeds to The Cookie Cart, which provides job training and mentorship opportunities for youth in Minneapolis and St. Paul, and also happens to make some amazing cookies. If you’re ever in need of catered baked goods, consider The Cookie Cart!
